Abstract

The spray cooling is proposed to improve the poor heat dissipation capacity of variable refrigerant flow(VRF)systems in small space,and the impact of spray cooling on performance of VRF is experimentally studied.The results show that the spray cooling system can effectively improve the heat dissipation capacity of the VRF and the saturated condensing pressure of the outdoor unit's refrigerant R410A has decreased from 3.6 MPa to 2.6 MPa.Under the working condition of 40-45 ℃,the VRF's cooling capacity is increased by about 15%,reaching 95%of its rated cooling capacity,and the energy consumption of the VRF is reduced by 12%.The water consumption of the spray device during the test period is approximately 60 kg/h.
