Rapid Quality Evaluation of Medicinal Materials Derived from Citrus trifoliata Fruit Based on Near-infrared Spectroscopy

Abstract
Objective:To establish qualitative and quantitative near-infrared spectroscopy(NIRS)-based models for the medicinal materials derived from Citrus trifoliata fruit to enable rapid quality evaluation.Methods:A total of 100 batches of medicinal materials derived from C.trifoliata fruit were collected.Discriminant analysis was employed to develop a qualitative model distinguishing between yellow and green samples.The content of five bioactive compounds(narirutin,naringin,poncirin,imperatorin,and auraptene)in the 100 batches of samples was determined by high-performance liquid chromatography(HPLC).Partial least squares regression(PLSR)was then employed to construct quantitative calibration models for these components.Results:The qualitative model successfully classified C.trifoliata fruit samples into yellow and green categories,with validation confirming reliable color-based differentiation.Quantitative models for all the five compounds demonstrated good predictive performance,with mean relative errors of 0.083,0.093,0.041,0.197,and 0.143,respectively.Conclusion:The established NIRS-based qualitative and quantitative models proved stable and reliable,facilitating rapid quality evaluation of medicinal materials derived from C.trifoliata fruit.关键词
