Abstract
Military household women who constrained by the household registration system, were forced to migrate with their military families while facing challenges such as fragile family structures and e-conomic hardships.Local chronicles constructed these women's moral exemplars through narratives em-phasizing"chastity-filial-piety-heroism".By standardizing Confucian ethics, compilers elevated indi-vidual experiences into tools for moral education.Through the political metaphor of"Loyalty to man was the same as loyalty to Monarch",they linked family ethics with military loyalty, thereby reinforcing Ming governance in Guizhou. Thus, these chronicles' portrayals of military household women represent not merely historical records but also cultural practices of frontier governance, reflecting the interplay between institutional frameworks, moral codes, and political agendas.关键词
