Prediction of carbon storage and economic value in Qingyuan City under different SSP-RCP scenarios

Abstract
To explore the impact of different land use types on the carbon storage(CS)of cities in national key ecological demonstration areas,this study uses the integrated valuation of ecosystem services and tradeoffs(InVEST)model.The analysis focuses on the carbon storage and its economic value in Qingyuan City for the periods 2000-2020 and 2030-2070 under different shared socioeconomic pathways-representative concentration pathways(SSP-RCP)coupling scenarios.The spatial correlation of carbon storage is also examined.The results indicate that:① In 2000,2010,and 2020,the carbon stor-age(CS)in Qingyuan City exhibited a slight continuous downward trend,with values of 215.041,6 million tons,214.214,5 million tons,and 213.5096 million tons,respectively.The carbon sequestration economic value decreased by 106.25 mil-lion yuan from 2000 to 2010 and by 90.35 million yuan from 2010 to 2020.② The high-high clustering area of CS accounted for 21.6%,primarily distributed in the northern part of Yangshan County,the northern part of Lianzhou City,Lianshan Zhuang and Yao Autonomous County,Liannan Yao Autonomous County,and some areas of Qingxin District.The low-low clustering area accounted for approximately 17.4%,concentrated in Yingde City and Qingcheng District.③ Under future SSP126,SSP245,and SSP585 scenarios,the CS shows a decreasing trend to varying extents,with reductions of 114,000 tons,91,700 tons,and 126,400 tons,respectively,from 2020 to 2070.关键词
