Application of LiDAR-assisted control point measurement in 3D modeling of mountainous power transmission lines

Abstract
To address the difficulty of control point layout in photogrammetry for mountainous terrain,this paper presents a method that uses light detection and ranging(LiDAR)to assist in control point measurement for three-dimensional(3D)modeling of power transmission lines in such areas.By establishing a layout plan that includes two types of control points,oblique photogrammetry is carried out based on the positioning of field-measured control points.The airborne LiDAR cover-age is delineated using the photogrammetry's aerotriangulation results.Based on this delineation,LiDAR data is collected,and control points are identified from the LiDAR dataset.Finally,aerotriangulation modeling is completed using the two types of control points to obtain a high-precision 3D model.To test the feasibility of this method,it was applied to a 220 kV transmission line project.The comparison with actual measured data showed a horizontal error of 0.137 m and a vertical error of 0.127 m,both of which meet the relevant specifications and technical requirements.This method provides a new approach for the layout of control points in oblique photogrammetry.关键词
