Abstract

The traditional hydraulic jet pump drainage process has been extensively applied in the Dongsheng Gas Field.However,it currently faces several practical issues,including high injection pressure,elevated energy con-sumption,and scaling of the power fluid leads to pump core blockage.To enhance the performance of the jet pump drainage process in natural gas wells,the key structural parameters of the jet pump have been optimized.First,based on CFD fluid simulation technology,a single-factor analysis of various parameters was conducted,and a characteristic curve chart for the gas jet pump was created.Subsequently,the structural parameters of the jet pump were optimized to address issues such as insufficient pump vacuum and low efficiency,forming a technical sequence for the gas jet pump drainage process.Analysis indicates that the pump efficiency of the gas jet pump is strongly correlated with the throat-nozzle distance and area ratio:when the nozzle-throat distance is 1.0d(where d is the throat outlet diameter),the gas jet pump exhibits improved performance;when the area ratio is 4.00,the gas jet pump achieves optimal performance,with its efficiency peaking at 40.60%and no risk of cavitation.A gas jet pump conducted at the production site of well A over 90 d,resulting in an increase in the production time rate from 47.30%to 98.00%,a rise in daily gas production from 0.21×104 m3/d to 0.32×104 m3/d,an increase in daily water production from 0.30 m3/d to 6.50 m3/d,a reduction in injection pressure by 76%compared to the hydraulic jet pump,and a decrease in energy consumption by 51.1%.
