Research on Mechanical Characteristics of Low Frequency Wind Power Transformer Under Short Circuit Impact

Abstract
Low frequency wind power transformer is the key equipment of flexible low frequency AC transmission system for offshore wind power.For understanding the vibration and stress characteristics of low-frequency transform-er under short-circuit impact further,the mirror method is used in this paper to calculate the leakage magnetic field of transformer windings,and the nonlinear dynamics model of winding axial vibration is set up and the short circuit impact vibration characteristics and stress of a 5000 kVA low-frequency transformer under 17 Hz and 50 Hz are ana-lyzed.The study results show that the short circuit impulse current,vibration displacement,axial and radial stress in transformer winding at 17 Hz are all less than 50 Hz,however the winding vibration characteristics are basically the same.When the winding spacers is decreased by 32.5%at 17 Hz,the maximum compression stress of the spacers is the same as that at 50 Hz.The dynamic axial compression force and radial stress of winding at 17 Hz are 85.8%and 73%of those at 50 Hz,respectively.The results in this paper can provide an important basis for the structural design of low frequency transformer and the reduction of its production cost.关键词
