摘要

Abstract

The magnetohydrodynamic power generation system,centered on magnetohydrodynamic thermoelectric conversion,is one of the ideal ways to obtain electrical energy for future space exploration.In order to analyze the performance and application potential of magnetohydrodynamic power generation technology in deep space exploration missions,the components of magnetohydrodynamic power generation systems were investigated firstly,discussing in detail four types of magnetohydrodynamic generating devices,namely,combustion chamber-type,explosion-type,pre-ionization-type and reactor-type.Besides,the working principles of two types of magnetohydrodynamic power generating channels,namely,linear-type and disk-type,were discussed.The design features,advantages and disadvantages of them were also analyzed with examples.Finally,special attention was paid to a typical high-temperature gas closed-loop nuclear magnetohydrodynamic power generation system combining a reactor-type magnetohydrodynamic generating device,and a disk-type power generation channel and its cycle working process,energy conversion efficiency,etc.were described and evaluated in detail.The analysis shows that the magnetohydrodynamic power generation system with high energy density and thermal efficiency is suitable for missions such as planetary base power supply and deep space exploration.Meanwhile,after analysis and discussion,this paper points out that the future research direction of magnetohydrodynamic power generation system should focus on system structure optimization,nuclear reactor development,safety enhancement and joint control technology,in order to promote the application of magnetohydrodynamic power generation technology in the energy field and aerospace field.
