Current epidemiological trends of Avian influenza virus and research progress of qRT-PCR detection technologies

Abstract
Avian influenza virus(AIV),due to its high variability and cross-species transmission capability,poses a severe threat to global public health and the poultry farming industry.From a virological perspective,AIV is primarily classified based on the hemagglutinin(HA)and neuraminidase(NA)genes,and its rapid evolution has exacerbated the challenges of prevention and control.Epidemiological studies have shown that wild birds and live poultry trade are the main transmission pathways of AIV,with significant regional and temporal differences observed in the distribution of different subtypes.In terms of detection technologies,quantitative reverse transcription polymerase chain reaction(qRT-PCR)has become the core method for AIV detection due to its high sensitivity and specificity.However,the emergence of mixed infections with AIV subtypes and variant strains places higher demands on detection technologies.This review systematically summarized the classification criteria,molecular characteristics,epidemiological features,and recent advances in AIV detection technologies,aiming to provide a theoretical reference for the precise monitoring and control of AIV.关键词
