Research progress of the effects of dietary additives to parental pigeon diets on the growth performance of squabs
摘要
Abstract
Driven by rural revitalization and the industrialization of modern agriculture,the large-scale meat pigeon breeding industry in China is undergoing rapid and transformative development.At present,China accounts for over 80%of the global annual production of meat pigeons.As a traditional nourishing food,meat pigeons have always enjoyed the reputation of"one pigeon is worth nine chickens".However,pigeons are altricial birds,for newly hatched squabs cannot feed themselves,and must rely on parental pigeons for crop milk.This special feeding mode results in a single-source nutritional supply for squabs during their growth,leading to a low survival rate.Therefore,the nutritional level of the parent pigeon is crucial to the growth performance of the squabs.This review summarized the impact of adding common feed additives into the diet of lactating pigeons on the growth performance of pigeon squabs,and analyzed the appropriate addition levels,aiming to provide solid theoretical support and basis for the production practice of lactating pigeons and pigeon squabs,helping breeders optimize the configuration of pigeon diets,improve the efficiency and quality of pigeon squab farming,and promote the further development of pigeon farming industry in our country.关键词
