Abstract

A suite of magnetite-albite leptite was identified at the margin of the Dalishan pluton in the western Dabie orogen.LA-ICP-MS zircon U-Pb dating yielded a crystallization age of 236±1 Ma,indicating contemporaneous magmatic activity might occurr in the western Dabie region during the Indosinian period,alongside the high-pressure/ultra-high-pressure metamorphism.The albite leptite is characterized by high contents of SiO2,Al2O3,and Na2O,while the Dalishan granite is also rich in SiO2,Al2O3,and total alkalis.Both share similar trace and rare earth element characteristics,showing relative depletion in Ba and Sr,pronounced negative Eu anomalies,and enrichment in light rare earth elements.The εNd(t)values define a trend subparallel to the average continental crust evolution line.We propose that the albite leptite likely represents dikes or volcanic rocks formed by melts extracted from the Daleishan pluton during the Indosinian tectonic-thermal event,which were subsequently emplaced along detachment faults or ductile shear zones at the edge of the pluton.
