摘要

Abstract

To investigate the thermal decomposition kinetics of composite modified double-based(CMDB)propellants and the effects of RDX or HMX on its thermal safety,differential scanning calorimetry(DSC)and flame sensitivity testing were em-ployed to study the thermal decomposition kinetics and flame sensitivity variation patterns of CMDB,RDX-CMDB(CMDB pro-pellant with RDX),and HMX-CMDB(CMDB propellant with HMX).Simultaneously,based on DSC experiments results com-bined with thermal safety assessment software(TSS),the thermal safety parameters of CMDB propellants were predicted.The results showed that as the heating rate approached zero,the pyrolysis peak temperature(Tp0)and thermal explosion critical temperature(Tbp0)of the propellant increased due to the addition of RDX and HMX,enhancing the thermal stability of the pro-pellant.The flame sensitivity of both RDX-CMDB and HMX-CMDB propellants was lower than that of CMDB propellant,indi-cating that adding RDX or HMX components reduce the thermal sensitivity of CMDB propellant.At a loading mass of 20 kg,the self-accelerating decomposition temperatures(TSADT)of CMDB,RDX-CMDB,and HMX-CMDB propellants were 60℃,91℃,and 112℃,respectively,indicating that the addition of RDX or HMX components effectively enhance the thermal safe-ty of CMDB propellants.
