Competition Policy and Enterprise Digital Technology Innovation:A Digital Patent Perspective

Abstract
In the strategic window period of accelerating global industrial digital transformation,exploring the driving factors of enterprise digital technology innovation is a major practical issue.This article uses patent IPC information to more accurately identify digital patent technologies and innovatively studies the impact and underlying mechanisms of competition policies represented by the"fair competition review system"on digital technology innovation in enterprises.The study found that the implementation of a fair competition review system significantly incentivizes digital technology innovation in enterprises,and this conclusion still holds true after multiple robustness tests.The fair competition review system mainly promotes digital technology innovation in enterprises through three channels:improving the market competition environment,optimizing credit resource allocation,and enhancing enterprise market expectations.A sound intellectual property protection system and digital infrastructure can help enhance the promotion effect of competition policy on digital technology innovation in enterprises.At the same time,for enterprises with long-term management vision,high-tech enterprises,non-state-owned enterprises,and high financing constraints,the driving effect of competition policy on digital technology innovation is greater.Further research has found that competition policy helps promote the"incremental improvement"of digital technology innovation in enterprises,and digital technology innovation helps to enhance the total factor productivity of enterprises.关键词
