摘要

Abstract

Obesity has evolved into a global public health crisis, necessitating multimodal and individualized comprehensive management. This review systematically summarizes the mechanisms, efficacy, and safety profiles of mainstream and emerging weight loss therapies, aiming to inform clinical practice.Lifestyle intervention remains the cornerstone of all treatments, with regimens such as the Mediterranean diet and intermittent fasting garnering significant attention due to their unique mechanisms. The field of pharmacotherapy has witnessed landmark breakthroughs, exemplified by novel agents like glucagon-like peptide-1(GLP-1)receptor agonists. The weight loss efficacy of these agents is now comparable to metabolic surgery and is associated with cardiovascular benefits independent of weight reduction.Endoscopic bariatric therapies serve as minimally invasive options, effectively bridging the gap between pharmacotherapy and surgery. For severe obesity, metabolic surgery remains the most effective and durable intervention.Looking ahead, weight management strategies will increasingly focus on etiology-based,personalized comprehensive management, with early intervention and long-term weight maintenance, underpinned by the principle of"preventive treatment,"emerging as central future directions.
