Abstract
[Research purpose]To systematically analyze the developmental disparities of Sino-US think tanks,this study compares their evolutionary trajectories and structural characteristics,aiming to uncover the key mechanisms that influence think tank effectiveness.The findings are intended to provide insights for advancing the high-quality development of new think tanks with Chinese characteristics.[Research method]This study employs literature analysis and comparative research methods,drawing on sources such as The Global Go To Think Tank Index Report and representative cases,tracing the development trajectories of Sino-US think tanks and conducting a systematic comparative analysis across dimensions including scale evolution,type distribution,research hotspot,and operational mechanisms.[Research conclusion]There is a phased gap between Chinese and American think tanks in terms of overall construction level.The strengths of American think tanks are reflected mainly in their diversified and stable funding systems,efficient mechanisms for policy outreach and achievement transformation mechanism,as well as well-established networks for professional talent cultivation and mobility.It is recommended that,while preserving its own institutional identity and distinctive characteristics,China can selectively draw on effective practices from the operation of American think tanks.Such approaches would help optimize the institutional environment for China's think tank development,innovating organizational and management models,expanding channels for international communication,and facilitating a strategic shift of new think tanks with Chinese characteristics from"scale expansion"to"quality and efficiency enhancement".关键词
