Discussion on the Author and the Textual Research of the Version of Meridian Flow Needle Classics

Abstract
Meridian Flow Needle Classics,as the earliest extant monograph dedicated to chrono-acupuncture theory,holds significant academic value.This study systematically investigates its authorship,dating,and textual characteristics through documentary research and comparative analysis of extant editions.Our survey identifies ten surviving versions preserved in Shanghai,Taiwan,Ningbo,and Japan,including printed editions and manuscripts spanning the Yuan,Ming,and Qing dynasties.These versions primarily belong to three textual lineages:the"Yanshan Huoji Tang""Guangqin Huoji Tang",and"LUO's Zhuping Shutang"editions.Notable printed editions include:The Yuan edition(1311 CE)published by"Yanshan Huoji Tang",the earliest extant version preserved in Ningbo's Tianyi ge Museum and included in the Four Books of Acupuncture;The Ming"Guangqin Huoji Tang"edition(1432 CE),a repatriated overseas version housed in Japan's Imperial Household Agency,representing the most complete surviving text with exceptional calligraphic and engraving quality;The Ming"LUO's Zhuping Shutang"edition(1473 CE),a revised and supplemented version currently held by Taipei's National Palace Museum.Through systematic comparison,this study elucidates the distinctive features and scholarly value of each edition,providing critical philological foundations for both the preservation of traditional Chinese medical texts and further research on chrono-acupuncture theory.关键词
