Forest Fire Risk Zoning in Genhe Forest Area of Daxing'an Mountains,Inner Mongolia

Abstract
Conducting regional forest fire risk zoning is crucial for early warning during the fire prevention period,as it helps reduce the occurrence of forest fires and minimizes ecological,social,and economic losses.In this study,the Genhe forest area in Dax-ing'an Mountains,Inner Mongolia,was taken as the research object,and five fire risk factors(i.e.,combustible vegetation type,population density,average monthly precipitation during the fire prevention period,temperature,and wind speed)were used to ana-lyze the weighting values of the regional fire risk factors,to construct a forest fire risk index system and to carry out zoning for the for-est fire risk in the Genhe forest area.The results showed that,the most influential forest fire risk factors in the twelve forest sites of the Genhe forest district were population density,and average monthly temperature during the fire season and precipitation.The fire danger level of Chaocha forestry farm was class Ⅰ,while Lengbulu,Haolipu,and Murei forestry farms were class Ⅱ,and the fire dan-ger level of Jiaodaomu,Wulikuma,Shangyanggeqi,Xiayanggeqi,Wuliyite,Kailaqi,Yaoanli,and Sajiqi forestry farms as classi-fied as Level Ⅲ.Chaocha and Lengbulu forestry farms were designated as Level Ⅰ forest fire risk areas(area share:14％),Murei and Haolibao forestry farms were class Ⅱ forest fire risk areas(area share:16％),while Jiaodaomu,Sajiqi,Yaoanli,Wulikuma,Shangyanggeqi,Xiayanggeqi,Wuliyite and Kailaqi forestry farms were class Ⅲ forest fire risk areas(area share:70％).In the fu-ture,improving the forest fire observation tower and video monitoring system for the high fire risk areas is still needed,especially the changes of meteorological elements during the fire prevention period,and implement region-specific management through forest fire risk zoning,so as to provide more realistic and feasible reference suggestions for the forest fire management.关键词
