Analysis of the Current Situation and Development Trends of Biophysical Economics Focusing on Energy and Entropy:A Perspective from System Science

Abstract
Currently,the world is undergoing profound changes unseen in a century.Some countries and regions are experiencing eco-nomic fluctuations and social unrest,and humanity is facing increasingly severe ecological crises.Traditional Western economic theo-ries,dominated by neoclassicism,have failed to predict these crises,encountered difficulties in explaining new economic phenomena,and are unable to provide appropriate public policies to address these challenges.Therefore,it is necessary to integrate existing eco-nomic theories,propose new economic paradigms,and identify suitable analytical tools to seek a sustainable development path for the global economy.Based on a systematic review of the research trajectories of biophysical economics,systems science,and complexity science,this study refines a new economic theory focused on energy and entropy.Using bibliometric methods,it tracks research hotspots and key points in this field,accompanied by visual analysis.Inspired by energy and entropy,the research extends to the do-mains of energy and negative entropy,proposing that economic activity is a process of entropy increase and energy metabolism.The core focus of biophysical economics is negative entropy(a general term for energy),which is considered the fundamental driver of eco-nomic system operation.关键词
