Abstract

Explore the accumulation and distribution patterns of active ingredients in Astraga-lus membranaceus from different origins and growth years,providing a basis for effectively controlling the quality of Astragalus membranaceus.The content of astragaloside Ⅳ was de-termined using HPLC-ELSD,while Calycosin-7-O-β-D-glucoside was determined using HPLC-UVD.Total saponins and total flavonoids were quantified by ultraviolet spectropho-tometry.Among three-year-old Astragalus samples from different origins,Shaanxi exhibited the highest astragaloside Ⅳ content,followed by Inner Mongolia,Shanxi,and Gansu.The Calycosin-7-O-β-D-glucoside content ranked from highest to lowest as Gansu,Inner Mongo-lia,Shaanxi,and Shanxi.For Shaanxi Astragalus of different growth years,three-year-old sam-pies showed the highest astragaloside Ⅳ(0.162%)and total saponin(4.28%)contents,which subsequently declined.The Calycosin-7-O-β-D-glucoside(0.045 2%)and total flavonoid(0.584%)contents peaked in seven-year-old samples.For medicinal use targeting astragaloside Ⅳor total sap-onins,harvesting three-year-old Astragalus is optimal;for Calycosin-7-O-β-D-glucoside or total fla-vonoids,six to seven-year-old Astragalus is preferred.
