摘要

Abstract

The requirements for relativistic electron beam parameters,generated by a linear accelerator to form shadowgraphy via elastic scattering,are analyzed.It is demonstrated that electron beams with a linear distribution in phase space can produce magnified projection imaging of thin targets.A start-to-end simulation method combining Monte Carlo methods and particle tracking calculations is established to validate the imaging process.Verification experiments are conducted on Xi'an 120 MeV Electron Linear Accelerator,obtaining shadowgraphy images at various electron beam energies.The spatial resolution is better than 100 micrometers,and it is observed to improve with increasing of electron beam energy.The results indicate that this imaging technique has potential applications in high-energy-density physics diagnostics.
