摘要

Abstract

A self-synthesized amphiphilic macromolecular reversible addition-fragmentation chain trans-fer(RAFT)agent was employed as both an emulsifier and a chain transfer agent to achieve RAFT emulsion po-lymerization of side long-chain alkyl acrylates without the addition of small-molecule emulsifiers.A series of random and block copolymers with different structures,composed of side long-chain alkyl acrylates and func-tional monomers,were successfully prepared.The chemical structures and relative molecular weights of the copolymers were characterized by Fourier transform infrared spectroscopy(FTIR),differential scanning calorim-etry(DSC),and gel permeation chromatography(GPC).Their water resistance was evaluated through contact angle measurements and spray tests.The results indicate that under the same monomer composition,the block copolymers exhibit higher sequence regularity,stronger crystallization ability,and superior reactivity com-pared to the random copolymers.Both the contact angles and spray test scores of the block copolymers were significantly better than those of their random counterparts.A new strategy for developing high-performance environmentally friendly fluorine-free water repellents is provided.
