Analysis of chemical constituents,physiological functions,and applications in animal husbandry of Elsholtzia splendens

Abstract
Elsholtzia splendens,a common plant belonging to the Lamiaceae family,possesses various medicinal properties such as promoting diaphoresis to release exterior pathogens,resolving dampness and harmonizing the middle,and promoting diuresis to reduce edema.It is rich in biologically active components that exhibit significant anti-inflammatory,antioxidant,and antibacterial effects,making it a valuable resource for further development and utilization.This article analyzed three major chemical constituents of Elsholtzia splendens,namely volatile oils,flavonoids,and polysaccharides,and reviewed the physiological functions as well as its applications in animal husbandry,aimed to offer insights and guidance for the further exploitation and utilization of Elsholtzia splendens.关键词
