Expert consensus on thermal ablation for autonomous functioning thyroid nodule(2025 Edition)
摘要
Abstract
Autonomous functioning thyroid nodule(AFTN)is a functional nodule that is independent of thyroid-stimulating hormone(TSH)regulation,characterized by persistent proliferation and functional expression,which is one of the leading causes of primary hyperthyroidism.Thermal ablation technology has increasingly been used in various thyroid diseases.Currently,thyroid nodule assessment typically focuses on distinguishing benign from malignant nodules,with insufficient emphasis on function evaluation.However,the treatment strategies for AFTN differ from those for malignant or non-functional nodules.The Technical Expert Group of Tumor Ablation of the Chinese Medical Doctor Association,in collaboration with multidisciplinary experts from multiple thyroid academic organizations,has developed this consensus based on pathophysiological clinical features,diagnostic and therapeutic principles of AFTN,and evidence-based evidence and clinical experience in thermal ablation.It provides expert recommendations on clinical screening and diagnosis treatment choices,especially technical protocols,efficacy evaluation and follow-up regarding AFTN thermal ablation,emphasizing early diagnosis,complete ablation,combination therapy,and comprehensive efficacy,which offers guiding diagnostic and therapeutic strategies for the thermal ablation treatment of AFTN.The aim is to promote the precision,individualization,and standardization of thermal ablation for thyroid nodules and primary hyperthyroidism.With accumulation of high-quality clinical evidence-based evidence,thermal ablation technology is expected to become a means of radical treatment for AFTN.关键词
