Role and mechanism of m6A reader IGF2BPs family in occurrence and development of cardiovascular disease
摘要
Abstract
N6-methyladenosine(m6A)is the most abundant in-ternal modification in eukaryotic RNA and is involved in various physiological and pathological processes.The m6A methylation modification is jointly participated by methyltransferases(writ-ers),demethylases(erasers),and reader proteins.Among them,the IGF2BPs family of reader proteins,including IGF2BP1,IGF2BP2,and IGF2BP3,play extensive roles in regulating RNA fate,especially in cardiovascular diseases.This article summarizes the structure,function,and role and mechanism of the IGF2BPs family in cardiovascular diseases,and introduces the research progress of small molecule inhibi-tors targeting them,providing a new perspective for the regula-tion of m6A in cardiovascular diseases.关键词
