Clinical Study of Transporting Needling Combined with Needle-Warming Moxibustion in Treating Wind-Cold Type PTN Accompanied by Anxiety and Depression
摘要
Abstract
Objective:To investigate the effects of the transporting needling combined with needle-warming moxibustion in treatment of primary trigeminal neuralgia(PTN)of wind-cold type accompanied by anxiety and depression. Methods:Patients with wind-cold type PTN were randomly divided into the control group and the observation group, with 44 patients in each group. All patients underwent routine blood tests upon admission. The control group received conventional Western analgesic treatment, while the observation group received transporting needling combined with needle-warming moxibustion. The therapeutic efficacy of both groups was evaluated.Pain perception before treatment and after one month of treatment was assessed using the Brief Pain Inventory(BPI)and Visual Analogue Scale(VAS).Serum neurotransmitter levels, including Substance P(SP),β-endorphin(β-EP),and 5-hydroxytryptamine(5-HT),were measured.Anxiety and depression were assessed using the Beck Depression Inventory(BDI)and Beck Anxiety Inventory(BAI),while sleep quality was evaluated using the Pittsburgh Sleep Quality Index(PSQI).Adverse reactions occurring during treatment were also recorded in both groups. Results:The total clinical effective rate was 95.45%(42/44)in the observation group, which was significantly higher than 77.27%(34/44)in the control group(P<0.05).After one month of treatment,BPI,VAS,BDI,BAI,and PSQI scores in both groups were significantly lower than before treatment, with the observation group showing greater reductions compared with the control group(P<0.05).Serum levels of β-EP and 5-HT increased in both groups after treatment, with significantly higher levels observed in the observation group compared with the control group(P<0.05).Conversely,serum levels of SP decreased in both groups, and the reduction was significantly greater in the observation group than in the control group(P<0.05).During the treatment period, the total incidence of adverse reactions in the observation group was 2.27%(1/44),which was significantly lower than 18.18%(8/44)in the control group(P<0.05).Conclusion:Transporting needling combined with needle-warming moxibustion can significantly relieve pain, improve neurotransmitter levels, alleviate anxiety and depression, and enhance sleep quality in patients with wind-cold type PTN accompanied by anxiety and depression. Moreover, the treatment demonstrates a high level of safety.关键词
