Effects of Different Varieties,Seeding Date and Fertilization Amount on the Main Agronomic Traits and Quality of Carthamus tincto-rius Under Walnut Forests

Abstract
To make good use of the understory resources of walnut forests and promote the collaborative development of walnut and Chinese medicinal herb Carthamus tinctorius planting industries,a 3-factor 3-level orthogonal experimental design was adopted,three replications were set,and the experiment was conducted simultaneously at two experimental sites,to explore the effects of different varieties,sowing dates,and fertilization amount on the agronomic traits,yield,and quality of Carthamus tinctorius under walnut forests,so as to provide a theoretical basis and practical reference for the planting pattern of intercropping walnut with Carthamus tinctorius.The results showed that:in the Dashuigou ex-perimental field,the variety had a significant effect on all traits;the sowing date had a significant effect on the petal yield per plot,but no signif-icant effect on the remaining traits;the fertilization amount had no significant effect on the plant height,branching height,and main fruit sphere diameter of Carthamus tinctorius,but had a significant effect on the remaining traits.In the Laozhu Village experimental field,the variety had no significant effect on the plant height and hydroxysafflor yellow A,but had a significant effect on the remaining traits;the sowing date had a sig-nificant effect on the plant height,branching height,number of first-level effective branches,number of fruit spheres per plant,and petal yield per plot,but no significant effect on the remaining traits;the fertilization amount had a significant effect on the number of second-level effective branches,number of fruit spheres per plant,and petal yield per plot,but no significant effect on the remaining traits.A comprehensive analysis of the experimental results showed that the optimal planting conditions for Carthamus tinctorius under mountain walnut forests were as follows:the variety was Yunhong No.7,the fertilization amount was 600 kg/hm2,sowing was conducted on September 18 in areas with good light condi-tions and no waterlogging disasters,and sowing could be delayed to September 28 in areas with high canopy density and excessive rainfall in the early stage.关键词
