Analysis of the interaction protein network of lignin synthesis in the secondary cell wall of Sudan grass

Abstract
Sudan grass(Sorghum sudanense),a high-quality C4 forage grass of the Poaceae family,exhibits a relatively high lignin content in its secondary cell walls,limiting its feeding value.Determining the secondary cell wall biosynthesis pathway in Sudan grass is of significant scientific and industrial importance for quality breeding.Based on a previously constructed yeast library of the secondary cell walls of Sudan grass,we established a CrY2H-seq system using AD and BD libraries.Using library screening,high-throughput sequencing,and alignment,823 interacting protein pairs were identified.Random validation of the 30 pairs revealed that 83.3%of them showed positive interactions.Among the interacting proteins,those containing NAC and MYB transcription factors were associated with environmental stress resistance.GO annotation and KEGG pathway analyses of the 823 protein pairs indicated their involvement in secondary metabolite metabolic and biosynthetic pathways.The results indicate that secondary cell wall biosynthesis is linked to secondary metabolite synthesis and provide a foundation for determining the molecular mechanisms underlying this process in Sudan grass.关键词
