Abstract

To explore the suitable combination of nitrogen,phosphorus,and potassium fertilizers for forage oats(Avena sativa)in the rain-fed area of Ningxia,a'3414'fertilization experiment was carried out in Yuanzhou District of Guyuan City,Ningxia,from 2021 to 2022.Principal component analysis was used to comprehensively evaluate the production performance and nutritional value of oats to provide a theoretical basis for the efficient production of forage oats in the rain-fed area of Ningxia.Based on the'3414'fertilizer effect design,four application levels(0,1,2,3)of nitrogen,phosphorus,and potassium were tested as experimental factors,and the effects of application schemes on crops were explored using random block arrangement and three repetitions.The results showed that nitrogen application rate of 0(N0),45(N1),90(N2),135(N3)kg·ha-1,phosphorus application rate 0(P0),67.5(P1),135(P2),202.5(P3)kg·ha-1;and potassium application rate 0(K0),75(K1),150(K2),225(K3)kg·ha-1 had significant effects on the production performance and nutritional value of oats(P<0.05).Plant height was greatest under N2P2K1,at 116.60 cm.N2P3K2 treatment had the highest stem diameter(7.25 mm)and number of tillers(4.59).The hay yield and crude protein yield under N2P2K2 treatment were the highest,at 7 219.55 and 941.29 kg·ha-1,respectively,23.24%and 56.21%higher than those under N0P0K0.The crude protein content and relative feeding value under N2P3K2 were the highest,at 13.18%and 103.91%,respectively,27.84%and 5.14%higher than those under N0P0K0.The total digestible nutrients under N1P1K2 treatment were the highest,reaching 58.40%.According to the comprehensive evaluation of principal components,oats treated with N2P3K2 had the highest production performance and quality.
