干旱胁迫下外源褪黑素对燕麦幼苗生理特性的影响
Effects of different concentrations of exogenous melatonin on the physiological characteristics of oat seedlings under drought stress

Abstract
[Objective]This paper aims to investigate the effects of different concentrations of melatonin pre-treatment on the physiological characteristics of oat seedlings under drought stress conditions,and to identify the opti-mal concentration of melatonin that alleviates drought damage in oats.[Method]This study utilized a nutrient solution sand culture method,dividing the seedlings into two groups.One group underwent pre-treatment with melatonin so-lutions at concentrations of 50 µmol/L,100 µmol/L,150 µmol/L,and 200 µmol/L,while the other group was culti-vated normally with Hoagland's full nutrient solution.After 7 days,a 15%PEG-6000 solution was applied to simulate drought stress on the oat seedlings.Relative water content,membrane lipid peroxidation,osmotic adjustment sub-stances,and antioxidant enzyme activities were measured and analyzed to evaluate the impact of different melatonin concentrations on the physiological characteristics of oat seedlings under drought stress.[Result]The PEG-simulated drought stress significantly reduced chlorophyll content and relative water content in oat seedlings,while in-creasing relative electrical conductivity,malondialdehyde,and hydrogen peroxide levels.With the application of exog-enous melatonin at varying concentrations,relative water content,chlorophyll content,osmotic adjustment substances,and key antioxidant enzyme activities initially increased and then decreased with rising concentrations.The concentra-tion of 100 µmol/L melatonin provided the best protective effect against drought damage,significantly enhancing rela-tive water content and chlorophyll levels,reducing membrane lipid peroxidation damage,promoting the accumulation of free proline,soluble sugars,and soluble proteins,and improving the osmotic adjustment capacity of oat seedlings.Additionally,it enhanced the activities of peroxidase,superoxide dismutase,catalase,and ascorbate peroxidase.[Conclusion]The exogenous application of 100 µmol/L melatonin significantly improved the drought resistance of oat seedlings.The findings of this study provided theoretical references for drought-resistant cultivation of oats.关键词
