Abstract

[Objective]This paper aims to investigate the niche theory and interspecific relationships within a plant community in an alpine meadow disturbed by varying levels of noxious weeds.[Method]Four categories were established:undisturbed,mildly disturbed,moderately disturbed,and severely disturbed.This study was conducted in Maqu County,a key pastoral area of the alpine grassland in southern China.Data on the plant community was col-lected and used to determine important values,niche widths,ecological attributes,ecological response rates,and inter-specific correlation degrees for each level of disturbance.The inter-specific correlation characteristics of the alpine meadow plant community with different disturbance levels of noxious weeds were then analyzed.[Result]The disturbance degree of noxious weeds significantly changed the resource occupancy pattern of plant populations in the alpine meadow,and rare grassland weeds appeared in the moderately disturbed alpine meadow.These plants jointly promoted the overall biomass growth through diversified resource utilization,which was of great significance for main-taining regional plant species resources.[Conclusion]The lightly disturbed meadow showed the highest aboveground biomass.The ecological response rate of plant community in alpine meadow was consistent with the change of total attribute of plant population.The results of ecological response rate analysis showed that the interference of noxious weeds induced changes in niche width and ecological response rate of plant communities,especially in heavily dis-turbed meadows,which may lead to recombination of community structure and function.
