摘要

Abstract

To enhance the rapid and accurate fault location capability for fault current suppression in existing flexible DC Grid,this paper investigates a back-to-back bipolar flexible DC distribution network.It proposes a fault location method based on an improved Sparrow Search Algorithm(SSA)combined with active current limiting technology,consisting of three stages:pre-location,active fault current limiting,and precise location.In the precise location stage,the improved SSA is introduced to enhance the fault location accuracy and suppress ripple interference.A back-to-back flexible DC distribution network model is constructed in PSCAD/EMTDC.The simulation results show that the average fault location error is less than 0.3%and the maximum error is less than 0.55%under different transition resistances,noise interferences,and signal asynchronization,verifying the effectiveness of the proposed fault location method.
