From"Aging Adaptation"to"AI-driven Prosperity":The"U-shaped"Effect and Optimal Boundaries of AI Empowerment in Common Prosperity

Abstract
During the process of population aging,how artificial intelligence(AI)technology empowers the advancement of common prosperity has be-come a critical issue in current development.This study measures the common prosperity index based on three dimensions—affluence,sharing degree,and sustainability—and analyzes the nonlinear impact of AI technology on common prosperity amid population aging.The research findings reveal that:the common prosperity index in all provinces shows a year-by-year upward trend;in terms of balance,although the Gini coefficient and Theil index of the common prosperity index exhibit an increasing trend,the rate of disparity growth has begun to decline in recent years;the impact of AI technology on common prosperity is not a simple linear relationship but follows a positive"U-shaped"curve with most regions having already passed the inflection point(symmetry axis)of the"U-shaped"curve,which means further increases in AI technology will promote common prosperity;population aging it-self negatively impacts the common prosperity index,while aging does not simply exacerbate the negative effects of AI,instead,the interaction effect between aging and AI indicates that aging positively moderates the relationship between AI and common prosperity.This conclusion suggests that,amid accelerated population aging,excessive pessimism is unnecessary.Fully leveraging the advantages and role of AI technology can mitigate the negative effects of aging and further advance the new journey toward common prosperity.关键词
