摘要

Abstract

The motion performance of tracked deep-sea mining vehicles on seafloor sediments is critical to mineral-collection efficiency.To enhance the kinematic performance of these vehicles,we investigate the track plate-sediment interactions at varying entry angles and velocities using the coupled Eulerian-Lagrangian method and an explicit display-dynamics solver.Concurrently,we optimized the design of the track-tooth structure.The results in-dicate that the horizontal thrust on the track plate increases with the increasing entry angle and velocity,and the simulation outcomes closely align with the theoretical shearing-deformation process.While altering the track-tooth parameter only slightly affects horizontal thrust,it significantly increases the vertical force.The kinematic perfor-mance of the track plate can be enhanced by modifying the shape of the track tooth.
