Abstract

This study proposes a fast estimation method to address the challenges of creating individual,large-scale calculation files for predicting the response of different underwater vehicles to explosion impact.This process consumes substantial computational resources.Based on the spherical shock factor theory and the concept of an energy-to-mass ratio,the proposed method approximates the response of various submersibles to underwater explo-sions by comprehensively considering both shock load characteristics and structural properties.On this basis,a fast conversion and prediction method was established for the impact response of submersibles with different shapes.Numerical validation demonstrated that the average prediction error for impact responses across diverse submersible geometries did not exceed 8%,with a maximum deviation of 20%.This study demonstrates that the energy-to-mass ratio approach enables the rapid estimation of submersible impact response,providing an effective pathway for assessing the shock resistance of complex submersible structures in explosive environments.
