广西西甜瓜产业现状及"十五五"高质量发展对策建议
Current Status of Watermelon and Muskmelon Industry in Guangxi and Strategies for Its High-Quality Development during the 15th Five-Year Plan Period

Abstract
Based on data from National Bureau of Statistics of China and General Administra-tion of Customs of China,this article combined field research and literature analysis in major pro-duction areas,and adopted a method combining descriptive statistics,trend analysis,and compara-tive analysis to systematically analyze the current development status and existing problems of the watermelon and muskmelon industry in Guangxi.It also proposed the development strategies for the"15th Five-Year Plan"period,providing a reference for promoting the high-quality development of the watermelon and muskmelon industry in Guangxi and scientifically formulating the"15th Five-Year Plan"for the characteristic fruit industry in Guangxi.The cultivation area and total yield of wa-termelons and muskmelons in Guangxi have long ranked first in southern China,and the productivi-ty has also been steadily increasing.Compared to 2001,the yield of watermelons in Guangxi in-creased by 41.17%,while that of muskmelons rose by 42.62%in 2022.Guangxi watermelon and muskmelon industry has advantages including extensive production distribution with concentrated advantageous production areas;diverse varieties and cultivation methods;short growth cycles and rapid income returns with periodic fluctuations;and strong export competitiveness,reaching major cities across South China,Southwest China,and Central China,as well as ASEAN countries in-cluding Vietnam,Thailand,Singapore,and Malaysia.However,the development of the watermel-on and muskmelon industry in Guangxi also faces challenges,including the high concentration of main cultivated varieties leading to severe market homogenization;frequent meteorological disas-ters and frequent occurrences of emerging and persistent pests and diseases;an inadequate standard-ized production technology system;scattered circulation entities with weak brand awareness;and insufficient scientific and technological innovation.To address these issues,it is suggested to en-hance the competitiveness and promote the high-quality development of Guangxi's watermelon and muskmelon industry by implementing the following measures:to adjust the variety structure and op-timize the production layout;to conduct scientific disaster prevention and mitigation and investigate key technologies for the green prevention and control of pests and diseases;to improve the stan-dardized technical system for green,high-quality and efficient production;to promote the integrat-ed construction of"circulation+brand";and to strengthen scientific and technological support and policy support.关键词
