广西番木瓜产业现状及"十五五"高质量发展对策建议
Current Status of Papaya(Carica papaya L.)Industry in Guangxi and Strategies for Its High-Quality Development during the 15th Five-Year Plan Period

Abstract
Papaya(Carica papaya L.)is rich in nutrients,has a wide range of uses,and offers high economic benefits.As the core papaya production region in China,Guangxi ranks the first in China in both the planting area and production,has realized significant papara industry development in recent years,but still has several bottlenecks.The research team employed a multi-faceted meth-odology including field surveys,household interviews,and panel discussions to conduct a systematic investigation of the primary production areas of papaya in Guangxi.The findings were further ana-lyzed by integrating literature reviews and data from related agricultural departments of government and enterprises.The purposes were to systematically evaluate the development status of papaya industry in Guangxi,analyze the key problems that restrict the development of the industry and puts forward the countermeasures,so as to provide a reference for promoting the transformation of the industry from scale expansion to quality and efficiency.The results indicated that Guangxi Subtropi-cal Crops Research Institute has established the Guangxi Innovation Base for Papaya Germplasm Resource Conservation,which was approved by the Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Affairs.The breeding achievements are remarkable,and the self-bred varieties have covered over 70%of the total papaya planting area in the region,predominantly processing-oriented varieties,among them,Guire 1 accounts for more than 50%,which has significantly promoted the expansion of the industrial scale.A variety of different papaya cultivation models has been developed.Processed papaya is typi-cally propagated using seedlings.By developing greenhouse seedling cultivation and autumn-spring planting patterns,the main growth and fruiting periods of papaya match the seasons with higher temperatures,and the peak incidence period of papaya mosaic disease can be effectively avoided,ensuring yield stability during the autumn-winter season.Fresh-pick papaya is primarily grown using tissue-cultured seedlings,transplanted in November with"ground mulching+small green-house"system to ensure safe overwintering of the plants.The intercropping of papaya with pump-kin,watermelon,cantalupo,wax gourd,pepper and so on between the rows can improve the land utilization rate and the comprehensive economic benefits.Winter vegetable rotation using mustard greens,cylindrical green,and other vegetables is also applied,which can effectively maintain the soil fertility,and effectively reduce the occurrence of papay ringspot virus disease.Guangxi has formed a complete industrial chain from variety to seedling cultivation,planting,processing,and sales,with high economic benefits.However,several challenges persist,including limited diversity in varietal structure,incomplete standard system,insufficient technological innovation,and short-age of scientific,technological,and talent support.In response to these issues,four targeted strate-gies were proposed.First,it is necessary to optimize the variety structure and regional layout.Sec-ond,technological innovation and integration need to be strengthened.Third,a standardized sys-tem across the entire industry chain should be established.And fourth,support through technology and talent should be reinforced.By coordinating the implementation of these four measures,a robust technological support system for the papaya industry could be built,to achieve the sustain-able and high-quality development of the papaya industry in Guangxi.关键词
