Power Allocation Strategy for Multi-type Battery Energy Storage Stations to Balance SOC and RUL While Considering Frequency Regulation Benefits and Dispatchability

Abstract
The rapid development of intermittent renewable energy has led to a growing demand for flexibility regulation in power grids.Coupled with policy incentives in various regions,this has promoted the continuous increase in the number of multi-type battery energy storage stations(M-BESS).Significant differences in investment costs,store energy,and lifespan of M-BESS units have rendered traditional power allocation strategies based solely on state of charge(SOC)balancing less profitable and unable to maintain dispatchability.To address these challenges,this paper proposes a power allocation strategy that balances SOC and remaining useful life(RUL),taking into account the performance differences among battery energy storage systems(BESS).Firstly,an aggregator revenue model incorporating BESS energy and frequency regulation revenues is established.Secondly,a dispatchability model for M-BESS that considers differences in store energy and lifespan among BESS units is developed.Finally,considering the overall performance revenue of the power station and the simultaneous balance of SOC and RUL,a power allocation strategy is proposed to maintain the M-BESS maximum dispatchability.Simulations based on actual data from a specific project demonstrate that the proposed power allocation strategy not only enhances the M-BESS operational efficiency but also effectively improves the balance of SOC and RUL.关键词
