Incipient Fault Location Method for Multi-branch Cable Lines Based on CEEMDAN-MSWK

Abstract
In recent years,with the continuous operation of urban power infrastructure,the cables that were put into operation in the early stages have generally entered the aging period,and some cables have exceeded their theoretical service life.The main insulation of cables is subject to a combination action of electrical,thermal,mechanical,environmental and other effects,making them highly prone to faults.In order to monitor the status of cables in a timely manner and reduce safety issues and economic losses caused by permanent faults,a traveling wave interval positioning method based on multi-branch cable lines was studied.Firstly,A multi-branch cable fault branch judgment matrix was constructed and an interval positioning method was provided.A wave head calibration method based on complete ensemble empirical mode decomposition with adaptive noise and multi-scale weighted kurtosis(CEEMDAN-MSWK)was designed as well.This method can effectively locate fault wave head in low signal-to-noise ratio(20~40 dB)environments.Simulation and experimental results show that this method has good applicability and prospects,and can accurately locate the branches with incipient faults,realizing location and distance measurement of multi-branch cable faults.关键词
