Abstract

To explore the effects of different microbial inoculants on the composting of silkworm excrement and mulberry branches,this study established four composting treatments:blank control(CK),inoculation of 0.2%Bacillus subtilis and Bacillus faecalis mixed suspension(T1),inoculation of 0.5%B.subtilis and B.faecalis mixed suspension(T2),and inoculation of 0.5%Trichoderma koningii suspension(T3).The physicochemical properties,humification degree,and lignocellulose degradation rate were compared among different treatments.The results showed that the temperatures of the four piles presented similar trends and met the requirements of high-temperature harmless treatment.The pH of the compost in each treatment first elevated and then declined over time,falling within the range of 7.9 to 8.3 at the end of composting.T2 demonstrated the best nutrient accumulation performance,with the highest content of total nitrogen and available phosphorus.At the end of composting,T2 had the highest lignocellulose degradation rate(61.40%),which was significantly higher than those of other treatments.Moreover,T2 had the highest humic acid content.In conclusion,inoculation of 0.5%B.subtilis and B.faecalis mixed suspension promoted the nutrient accumulation,lignocellulose degradation,and humification of silkworm excrement and mulberry branches during composting,serving as the optimal scheme for improving the composting efficiency and product quality.
