Pathogenesis,syndrome differentiation and treatment of ischemic stroke based on the"three-dimensional physiological system"and the"brain marrow theory"proposed by Professor Ren Jixue

Abstract
Stroke is a disease with a high mortality rate and a high disability rate.Ischemic stroke(IS)accounts for 60%～70%of all strokes worldwide.The onset of the disease is rapid and dangerous,while its pathogenesis is complex and varied,with various symptoms and poor prognosis.Professor Ren Jixue,a national master of traditional Chinese medicine,believes that the origin of human life is involved in a three-dimensional physiological system,namely"essence","qi"and"spirit".As essence is sufficient,the marrow fills the brain;as the energy is sufficient,the brain collaterals are unobstructed,and the marrow can distribute in them;as the spirit is sensible,life activities function normally.Based on the above"three-dimensional physiological system"and"brain marrow theory",Professor Ren Jixue implements his unique diagnostic and therapeutic ideas and advantages in the treatment of ischemic stroke.Therefore,this article builds on the academic thoughts of Professor Ren Jixue to explore the pathogenesis connotations and treatment of ischemic stroke through discerning the relationship between essence,qi,spirit,and brain marrow,in hopes of providing a theoretical reference for the treatment of ischemic stroke with traditional Chinese medicine.关键词
