摘要

Abstract

[Objective]This study aims to to explore the effects of salt-low temperature combined stress on the growth and physiological characteristics of maize seedlings.[Method]Zhengdan 958 was used as the experimental material.Control CK(normal culture at 25℃),salt(150 mmol/L NaCl,S),low temperature(7℃,C)and salt-low temperature combined stress(150 mmol/L NaCl+7℃low temperature,S+C)were set.The growth status and physiological and biochemical characteristics of maize seedlings under different treatments were studied.[Result]The results showed that salt,low temperature and combined stress significantly inhibited seedling height,root length,fresh(dry)weight and dry root weight of maize seedlings.The relative electrical conductivity of maize seedling leaves significantly increased,and the relative water content and chlorophyll content of maize seedling leaves were decreased.Compared with the control group,the osmoregulatory substances such as proline,soluble protein and soluble sugar were significantly increased,and the activities of antioxidant enzymes such as SOD,POD,CAT and APX were significantly increased.Comprehensive analysis showed that the reaction mechanism of maize seedlings under combined stress was different from that under single stress(low temperature stress and salt stress).Maize seedlings under combined salt-low temperature stress reduced the harm caused by single salt stress through their own unique reaction mechanism,reflecting the complexity of the reaction mechanism of maize seedlings under combined stress.[Conclusion]These results indicated that under the combined salt-low temperature stress,low temperature alleviated the damage caused by salt to maize seedlings to a certain extent,and provided a new idea for the study of maize resistance.
