Accurate Certification of Environmental Carbon Dioxide and Methane Reference Materials Using External Standard Method and Isotope Discrimination Effect Correction Algorithm

摘要

Abstract

A system for the determination of gas reference materials of carbon dioxide(CO2)and methane(CH4)from ambient air was established based on external standard method and the algorithm for correcting isotopic discrimination effect.The results showed that the correcting algorithm can improve the accuracy of determining value results of standard gas.The analytic system showed good precision and accuracy when using both direct external standard method and reference external standard method.The standard deviation of determining values for CO2 and CH4 is less than 0.03 μmol/mol and 0.1 nmol/mol,respectively.The calibration values of CO2 in this study were comparable with the quantification results of the World Meteorological Organization(WMO).The results of the paired sample t-test indicated that there is no significant difference between direct external standard method and reference external standard method.Compared with direct external standard method,the reference external standard method can be kept stable within two months,which saving the previous level of standard gases significantly.
