Traditional Dwelling Renewal and Renovation Design from the Perspective of Cultural-Tourism Integration:A Case Study of Cui Tao's Former Residence in Xuzhou

Abstract
With their unique architectural images,traditional dwellings vividly demonstrate the historical culture and folk customs of a city.Taking Cui Tao's Former Residence in Xuzhou City as a specific case,this paper attempts to carry out protection and renovation work on traditional dwellings from the perspective of"cultural-tourism integration",focusing on cultural connotations and tourist experience.In this process,it not only emphasizes the restoration and repair of the main body of the residential buildings but also focuses on the expression of the cultural spirit contained in them.Aiming at the problems arising during the renovation process,such as the interruption of historical context,lack of humanistic care,and monotonous spatial experience,the paper proposes cultural protection and tourism development strategies including in-depth excavation of the former residence's history,creation of modular exhibitions,and activation of negative spaces.These strategies aim to continue the historical context,enrich tourist experience,strengthen humanistic care,and explore a higher-quality development path for cultural-tourism integration.关键词
