Abstract
Employing the method of inductive analysis, this paper examines the profound influence of HE Shaoji,a great master of stele studies in the late Qing Dynasty,on SHEN Yanyi,a calligrapher in the modern and contemporary era, from three dimensions:calligraphic philosophy, calligraphic techniques, and artistic style.SHEN Yanyi inherited HE Shaoji's calligraphic philosophy of"integrating stele inscriptions with model calligraphy copies".In his pursuit of combining steles and model copies,he not only absorbed the powerful and unadorned qualities of stele inscriptions but also incorporated the flexible and elegant charm of model calligraphy copies. He carried forward HE Shaoji's calligraphic techniques such as"applying seal and official script styles to regular script"and"unsmooth brush movement",as well as He's unique structural arrangement of characters, and further innovated to form a distinctive calligraphic technique characterized by"concealing roundness within squareness and revealing squareness in roundness".On the basis of HE Shaoji's concept of"not fixating on refinement or crudeness, and not being constrained by squareness or roundness",SHEN Yanyi integrated regional cultural characteristics, thereby developing a unique artistic style known as"Guanwai Wei-script".关键词
