Mobilization and Formation:Tan Kah Kee's Propaganda for the War of Resistance Against Japanese Aggression and the Construction of the Sense of Community for the Chinese Nation among Overseas Chinese in Southeast Asia

Abstract
Since modern times,overseas Chinese in Southeast Asia have played a significant role in the formation of the sense of community for the Chinese nation.Particularly during the War of Resistance Against Japanese Aggression,overseas Chinese in Southeast Asia make remarkable contributions and become an important pillar of the nation's war effort.Overseas Chinese leaders in Southeast Asia,represented by Tan Kah Kee,effectively mobilize the overseas Chinese community in support of the National United Front Against Japanese Aggression through diverse propaganda for the War of Resistance Against Japanese Aggression.Based on a review of historical materials such as Chinese-language newspapers in Southeast Asia,the study reveals that Tan Kah Kee actively engaged in propaganda to resist Japanese Aggression and save the nation,disseminated nationalist discourse and unified the strength of overseas Chinese in Southeast Asia through various means,including establishing newspapers and periodicals,organizing the Overseas Chinese Association in Southeast Asia,supporting cultural and artistic activities,and delivering public speeches.These practices not only mobilize overseas Chinese and promote national unity,but also ignite their patriotic fervor and strengthen the national identity of overseas Chinese in Southeast Asia.All of these provide a historical case for understanding the overseas Chinese participation in the early construction of the sense of community for the Chinese nation during the War of Resistance Against Japanese Aggression.关键词
