Chatter Stability Analysis in Milling Considering Interval Uncertainty

Abstract
Chatter is the important factor affecting milling efficiency and machining quality.Uncertainty factors are common in the milling process,but the traditional chatter stability analysis method does not consider the measurement error,the thermal deformation of the machine tool,the change of the workpiece geometric characteristics and other uncertainties.The use of constant parameters for chatter prediction,may lead to unexpected milling chatter.The chatter stability of milling process is studied through non probability interval model,and the influence of different uncertain parameters on the predicted stability lobes diagram(SLD)interval is quantitatively compared.Key parameters of chatter failure are obtained by analyzing the two-degree-of-freedom milling model and the zero-order approximation method.The non-probability interval model is used to model the uncertainty of key parameters.The uncertainty is propagated from the parameter interval model to the SLD interval,and the influence of different parameters on the predicted SLD interval boundary is quantitatively analyzed by calculating the absolute deviation of the maximum cutting depth.Multiple uncertainty parameters are taken into account in stability analysis,and the uncertainty interval of SLD is obtained.关键词
