Abstract

For button lithium-ion batteries,to address the issues of blue discoloration on the slurry surface in aqueous testing systems,and to enhance the stability of slurries,a water-cooling circulation system was utilized for slurry preparation.Additionally,the LAND electric testing system was employed to analyze the impacts of various parameters,including compact density,sealing pressure,and coating methods,on the discharge specific capacity in oil-based testing systems.The results indicate that the slurries prepared using the water-cooled recirculation system do not exhibit blue discoloration during the resting phase.In the oil-based testing system,under identical surface density conditions,an increase in compaction density leads to a reduction in the graphite gaps,resulting in higher discharge specific capacity but lower initial efficiency.Excessive sealing pressure can damage the internal components of the battery,while insufficient pressure may result in inadequate sealing;thus,a sealing pressure of 6.5 MPa is optimal.Furthermore,better uniformity in pole piece thickness correlates with improved consistency in discharge capacity data.
