摘要

Abstract

Due to its large capacity and low cost,maritime transport of dangerous goods plays a vital role in the integrated dangerous-goods transportation system.However,the potentially catastrophic consequences and difficulty of emergency response make it a top priority for traffic-safety authorities.With a focus on the prevention and control of major safety risks in maritime dangerous-goods transport,two core themes were addressed:fundamental theories of dangerous-goods leakage incidents and risk prevention and warning technologies.Spill and pollution modelling,fire and explosion accident mechanisms,and heat transfer behaviour inside dangerous-goods containers were covered in the theoretical studies.A major-risk management platform,rapid dangerous-goods identification devices,wind-resistant warning systems for heavy machinery,on-site control equipment for high-risk operations,and an automatic identification system for unsafe behaviour of personnel were developed through applied R&D efforts.These achievements have been widely deployed in coastal provinces and cities throughout China,significantly improving enterprise safety levels and supporting industry-wide safety supervision.
