Abstract

There are few wheat varieties with high-resistant starch available for wheat production,and the lack of excellent bridge materials with high-resistant starch is the key problem.In view of this situation,this study focused on creating this kind materials by hybridization and backcross to transfer the high-resistant starch gene from'195172'into the common wheat'Jimai 22'background,and then the field identification and analysis of starch characteristics were carried out for many years,simultaneously the resistant starch con-tent and agronomic traits were used for selection.The results showed that 17 advanced lines with resistant starch content higher than 5%were obtained in 2023,and the highest resistant starch content was up to 8.90%,more than 20 times of that of common wheat'Jimai 22'.Analysis of starch chain length distribution revealed that the content of resistant starch was positively correlated with the area percentage of Peak 3(the amylose and few hyper-amylopectin main chain);the percentage of Peak 3 area increased with the increase of resistant starch content,and the percentage of Peak 3 area in the progenies with resistant starch content higher than 5.0%was significantly higher than those with resistant starch content lower than 5.0%,which indicated that the starch chain length,especially the amylose chain length,determined the content of resistant starch.All these would provide breeding materials with excellent comprehensive characters and data support for the breeding of wheat varieties with high-resistant starch.
