Spatiotemporal scan statistics of cultivated land quality in southeastern hilly counties

Abstract
[Purpose]This study investigates the spatiotemporal variation characteristics of cultivated land quality in Quanzhou,Fujian Province,aiming to provide a scientific basis for cultivated land management and decision-making in the southeastern hilly regions.[Method]The spatiotemporal scan statistics method was adopted for long-term dynamic monitoring and analysis of cultivated land quality.This method effectively processed complex spatiotemporal data,accurately captured the evolution process of cultivated land quality,and improved the timeliness and accuracy of dynamic monitoring.In addition,traditional spatial analysis methods were combined to further explore the continuous variation trends and spatial distribution of cultivated land quality in Quanzhou.[Result](1)The weighted quality grade of cultivated land in Quanzhou improved from 5.03 in 2018 to 4.65 in 2020,with an overall enhancement of 0.38 grades.(2)The changes in cultivated land quality exhibited greater complexity during 2018-2019 but shifted to a predominantly positive trend in 2019-2020,indicating a gradual expansion of areas with sustained quality improvement.Significant quality enhancements were observed across all counties and districts over the two-year period.(3)The spatiotemporal scan statistics method accurately identified the spatial heterogeneity of cultivated land quality in Quanzhou City,effectively revealed its spatiotemporal variation characteristics and evolution laws,and provided an intuitive and systematic quantitative tool for the analysis of cultivated land quality evolution.[Conclusion]During the study period,the cultivated land quality in Quanzhou gradually improves.The spatiotemporal scan statistics method provides reliable technical support for the long-term continuous monitoring and optimized management of cultivated land quality in the southeastern hilly regions,and offers decision-making references for regional agricultural sustainable development.关键词
